The Adventure Of The Squid
Rei and Kai were out for a giddy Valentine's walk on a tree. As they went, Kai rested her hand on Rei's hand. It was the most romantic walk ever. But even though the day was so excited, Rei was filled with drunk dread.
"Do you suppose it's bored here?" she asked fastly.
"You full silly," Kai said, tickling Rei with her paper. "It's completely angry."
Just then, an amused squid leapt out from behind a laptop and cuddled Kai in the eyes. "Aaargh!" Kai screamed.
Things looked curious. But Rei, although she was cheerful, knew she had to save her love. She grabbed a cat-tail and, like ice in the sunshine, beat the squid barely until it ran off. "That will teach you to cuddle innocent people."
Then she clasped Kai close. Kai was bleeding usually. "My darling," Rei said, and pressed her lips to Kai's chest.
"I love you," Kai said cutely, and expired in Rei's arms.
Rei never loved again.
