| As some of you know I am a huge BMTH Fan for years. I think I started to listen to them in like..idk..2013? 2014? And I always wanted to draw Oli sykes but was intimidated by all this tattoos. Don't get me wrong, they look hella cool but it's a nightmare for an artist to draw. Especially when you never had drawn tattoos before. Then Parasite Eve came out and I was sold by the aesthetic in like 2 miliseconds. During the process of this image I was cursing a lot as I couldn't find a single proper reference for this mask. So I tried to come up with an own idea based on the visuals that I saw in the music videos. Same for Olis tattos though. I had to reimagine some of them as they looked super blurry in some images and I had like 10 images of his arm..I still hope that I drew it correctly . But it was worth in the end..haha If you haven't listened to Parasite Eve, go do it right now! You really miss out on something! |
