Layrena als: Sire Denathrius

Almost two and a half years ago I decided to start working on what was going to be the biggest, most intricate and emotionally demanding cosplay. From manually stitching the dress, cutting and glueing itty-bitty pieces one by one – it took me 907 days to complete Sire Denathrius.

Being a perfectionist, I cried and got frustrated many times. It got so bad I even lost the joy of cosplaying for almost a year, because I didn’t allow myself to take a break from it. Just nonstop crafting, sewing and crying until I finished it in January 2024.

And then Bard.shots picked up his camera and decided to bring back all the joy and love I feel for this beautiful hobby – a feeling that hasn’t worn off since that day.

With all that being said, I was gobsmacked, when he showed me the finished pictures, they really knocked me right off my feet. To be completely honest, I almost cried but this time out of pure joy and happiness. So, at the end I can only say … thank you for bringing back the passion I lost and reigniting my excitement for cosplay!
