                             Kapitel 2: Decisions
                             --------------------


Malverick's p.o.v. :

"The Don?" , I asked confused and stared at the letter. The Don was the leader
of the Union. What did he want from me? I felt my mother's hand on my shoulder
as she grabbed it a bit more.
"...I hoped it wouldn't have come to this..." , she mumbles quietly, before she
hugged me tightly. "You don't have to go, if you don't want to..." I was too
surprised to say anything. Too confused. I really couldn't believe it myself...
"It's okay Mom..." I replied to her and wraps my arms around her. "I will think
about that. You don't have to worry about me..." Then I kissed shortly her
cheek, showing her that everything will be alright, before I passed her to go
upstairs into my room.
When I arrived in my room, I put my bag at my desk and laid down on the bed,
staring at the ceiling. I barely knew what it meant to get an invitation from
the Don. Of course, he's an important and strong person but what did he want
from a normal guy like me? I sighed and closed my eyes, before I turned on my
side and looked at my shelf. My eyes widened a bit and I slowly got up. Then I
walked to the shelf and picked up the photo which was standing there. On the
picture was my mother, carrying me in her arms, when I was a baby. Next to her
stood a man, tall, somehow good-looking, with green eyes, holding my mother in
his arms. 
"Dad..." I whispered quietly and placed my fingers softly on the picture. Maybe
this was my chance. A chance to learn where my place is in the world. I took a
deep breath before I put back the picture and returned to my bed. But how should
I explain this to my mother? what about school? I was in my last year at school,
nearly at my final exams. So many questions ran through my mind. so many
decisions that I had to make. With these thoughts, I slowly fell asleep, still
not knowing what to do.
I woke up early in the morning again. But I didn't do any experiments this time.
There was too much on my mind for that. So I went downstairs after I put on my
clothes and found my mother in the living-room, the letter in front of her on
the table. I took a deep breath before I faced her directly.
"Mom? I will go to Dahngrest and meet the Don." I said calmly, waiting for any
reactions from her side. She stayed silent for a while, before she closed her
eyes and stood up from the couch.
"I knew you would choose this path..." *she whispered quietly and took the
letter. Then she walked to me and handed it over to me. "Just be careful... I
love you..." She kissed my forehead softly. I was kinda surprised from this
reaction but it was a relief that she wasn't hold me back in any way.
"Thanks Mom. I will take care of myself. Promise!" I replied and hugged her
gently. "I guess, I will pack my things then." With these words, I walked back
to my room, curious what will happen when I will meet the Don...
